Therapeutic Play Practitioner
A trained counsellor and accredited therapeutic play practitioner (PTI), Iris has worked with children and adolescents of varying profiles and needs. Iris has experience supporting children, both neurotypical and neurodivergent, to explore and process their emotional, behavioural and social challenges. She believes that all children want to feel successful and accepted, and she takes a developmental approach while looking at the whole child.
Iris holds a Masters in Counselling and earned her Postgraduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play from Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy (UK). She has also received further specialised training in cognitive behavioural therapy, and sandplay and symbol work. This gives her a variety of therapeutic tools and approaches to draw from when addressing individual needs.
Some of the specific conditions Iris has worked with include selective mutism, separation anxiety, social anxiety, low self-esteem, and living with life-limiting condition.
Iris is conversant in English and Mandarin.
